Escape

Choose your escape.

Escape is an instant game from O&Z, set in a prison yard with four gates, A to D. Each round a searchlight shows the one gate the cop checks: stand at any other and you are through, and the multiplier climbs. Everyone in the yard shares one clock and one cop, but each plays their own stake.

The Escape world, playing: a prison yard on an island, four gates at its far wall

How a round plays

  1. Choose a stake from the chips and press RUN.
  2. A countdown opens, five seconds by default: tap one of the four gates.
  3. The searchlight stops on the gate the cop checks, fixed before anyone picked.
  4. At any other gate you are through: three in four are safe, and the multiplier steps up.
  5. Before the next gate, press CASH OUT to bank what you hold, or pick again and risk it.
  6. If the cop checks your gate, the run ends and the stake is lost.

What it has

  • Online in one shared yard: other players run on the same clock, and you see their gates as they pick.
  • You play against the house, not each other: nobody else's run changes your payout.
  • Cash out between gates once one is behind you; the screen shows what you hold and what one more gate would make it.
  • The cop's gate is committed as a hash before the pick and revealed after it.
  • Phone and desktop layouts: a wide yard on a laptop, a payout ladder under the yard on a phone.
  • Sound effects and music have separate switches, both off until you turn them on.

For operators
